The aim of the workshop is to start new and to intensify existing collaborations between German and Japanese researchers in the field of lattice QCD, with emphasis on new multi-PFLOPS computers such as BlueGene/Q and the K-computer. The workshop consists of invited talks and a session with contributed posters. A previous workshop (Lattice QCD confronts experiments) took place in Mishima (Japan) in 2010.
